Sumario:This research presents a revision from the perspective of complexity sciences, more precisely, non equilibrium termodynamics of the functioning of organizations. This perspective considers organizatons as complex systems that are far from equilibrium. This is motivated by the imposed limits of the basis of modern managament sciences. An extensive literature review is presented that considers complexity sciences, non-equilibrium termodynamics, and organizational theory in comprehensive scientific databases such as Scopus, iberoamerican databases (Redalyc and Dialnet), and specialized ones. The main results highlight the recent developments in the complexity field as alternative to understand the organizations’ environment and phenomena.
