Accounting for the racist, elitist and patriarchal ways with which even national states conceive their identity and internal diversity also implies reflecting on the exercise of disciplines, such as archeology and anthropology, and their scientific methods and theories. This looking inward requires rethinking the relationship between professionals with the spheres of the state, with mainly indigenous social organizations and with the territories as a whole. The book Patrimonial Policies and Processes of Dispossession and Violence in Latin America is part of this critical review of patrimonialization and disciplinary fields. |

En los últimos años, los procesos de patrimonialización han atravesado un giro crítico que demuestra las dificultades para llevar a delante formas democráticas, consensuadas e igualitarias de decidir qué y cómo cuidar o preservar. El dar cuenta de las formas racistas, elitistas y patriarcales con las que aún los estados nacionales conciben su identidad y diversidad interna implica, además, reflexionar sobre el ejercicio de disciplinas, tales como la arqueología y la antropología, de sus métodos y teorías científicas. Este mirar hacia adentro requiere replantear la relación entre los profesionales con las esferas del estado, con organizaciones sociales principalmente indígenas y con los territorios en su conjunto. El libro Políticas patrimoniales y procesos de despojo y violencia en Latinoamérica es parte de esta revisión crítica hacia la patrimonialización y hacia los campos disciplinares. Nos últimos anos, os processos patrimoniais passaram por uma viragem crítica que demonstra as dificuldades em implementar formas democráticas, consensuais e igualitárias de decidir o que e como cuidar ou preservar. Dar conta das formas racistas, elitistas e patriarcais com que até os Estados nacionais concebem a sua identidade e diversidade interna implica também reflectir sobre o exercício de disciplinas, como a arqueologia e a antropologia, e os seus métodos e teorias científicas. Esse olhar para dentro exige repensar a relação dos profissionais com as esferas do Estado, com as organizações sociais principalmente indígenas e com os territórios como um todo. O livro Políticas Patrimoniais e Processos de Despossessão e Violência na América Latina faz parte desta revisão crítica da patrimonialização e dos campos disciplinares.
