Semi-symbolism offers a new reading of the world when it associates directly relations of colour, of form (expression plan) to meaning relations (content plan), contributing, in this way, to change the student into a proficient reader of texts/images. |

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar uma proposta para a abordagem de textos visuais e sincréticos (verbovisuais) em sala de aula, a partir dos princípios e procedimentos propostos pela teoria semiótica francesa, sobretudo num de seus desdobramentos mais recentes: a semiótica visual ou plástica. Assim, o texto é trabalhado por meio da articulação entre conteúdo e expressão, buscando-se, sempre que pertinente, a homologação entre categorias desses dois planos, de modo a construir relações semissimbólicas.
