“…En la escenificación se plasman los conceptos básicos sobre los cuales Milanesio construyó y resignificó a los indígenas sureños con el fin de justificar su tarea misionera.PALABRAS CLAVE: evangelización- Salesianos-indígenas-Patagonia ABSTRACTIn the short book titled “ Raccolta di vedute delle missioni salesiane della Patagonia” published in 1904 the Salesian missioner Domenico Melanesio shows us the process of evangelization the missioners developed in Patagonia after twenty five years of their arrival at the land.We analyze three scenes detailed in drawings, pictures, and writings all of which we understand to be representing the sequences of indoctrination, baptize and conversion that the Silesian missioners of Patagonia followed up with the Indians as “pagans” and “ converted”.The way the scenes are presented to the readers imply the basic thoughts and ways in which Melanesio constructed the image of and look at the Patagonian Indians in order to justify his own work.KEYWORDS: evangelization-Salesians-natives peoples-Patagonia…”
