description The purpose of this article is to evaluate the conditions of virtual training in war games or simulation exercises that Special Forces officers who make up the General Staff course of the Colombian War College have. The proposed methodology is based on the case study within the framework of education based on experimentation and simulation of crisis in virtual environments. The conclusions focus on the need to reassess existing simulation exercises -which are scarce- to strengthen the skills of a Special Forces officer or to create new and specific exercises in the Special Operations environment.

El presente artículo tiene por objeto evaluar las condiciones de formación virtual en juegos de guerra o ejercicios de simulación que tienen los oficiales de Fuerzas Especiales que integran el Curso de Estado Mayor de la Escuela Superior de Guerra de Colombia. La metodología propuesta se sustenta en el estudio de caso, en el marco de la educación basada en la experimentación y simulación de situaciones de crisis en entornos virtuales. Las conclusiones se centran en la necesidad de reevaluar los ejercicios de simulación existentes –que son escasos–, de manera que se fortalezcan las competencias propias de un oficial de Fuerzas Especiales, o de crear ejercicios nuevos y específicos para el entorno de las operaciones especiales. O objetivo deste artigo é avaliar as condições de treinamento virtual em jogos de guerra ou exercícios de simulação que têm os oficiais das Forças Especiais que compõem o curso de Estado-Maior da Escola Superior de Guerra da Colômbia. Para isso, o artigo desenvolve em primeiro lugar uma investigação sobre as experiências de simulação em ambientes virtuais que outros países desenvolvem, especialmente os Estados Unidos e com isso tem um parâmetro de contraste com o caso colombiano. Numa segunda parte, o artigo descreve o processo de simulação no âmbito do curso de Estado-Maior General e por fim, o artigo aprofunda a pertinência da atual abordagem no que diz respeito ao treino de competências educativas em alunos da especialidade de Forças Especiais. Diante da ausência constatada, conclui-se mostrando a relevância da criação de cenários simulados para as Forças Especiais.
