Sumario:From a historical and legal approach to the organization of intelligence from the origins to the second government of former president Fernando Belaunde, is analyzed. Through this research, it is aimed at the origins of the Peruvian Intelligence and establishing the linkage of its origins with the fight against the national level and with the peers of the region. The main themes are discussed in the political and military decision for the creation of the Intelligence System, the legal system, the profile of the Intelligence apparatus, the effects of the institutional reconversion of the Peruvian Army, the cases of the experience of Bolivia and Mexico in the creation of Intelligence organizations, the insurrectional focus and new ways of fighting them, the contribution of the Peruvian Navy in the culture of intelligence, the coups d'état and guerrilla milestones, military repressions and their relations with Argentina and Chile.
