description | The article analyzes and explains the functioning of the information and intelligence system Plataform México, from its origins to its consolidation, as a vanguard network interconnected between the three levels of government (federal, state and local) that allowed to make more efficient the research work about security in Mexico by sharing information in real time between the different security corporations of the country by means of the installation of a complex telecommunications platform, integrated by Interconnection Nodes (ITN's) in the different federative entities as well as with the government offices of dispensation of Justice. For this purpose is aided by the Single Criminal Information System (SCIS) which is made up of different applications, such as: the Homologated Police Report, biometric records, police records, criminal records, geographic information systems, prison records, ammunition, vehicle registration, forensic ballistics, among others. All this monitored through the Intelligence Center of the Federal Police (ICFP) as the central node for the exploitation of the information contained in Platform Mexico. The article also addresses the operability regarding the information security under which the system operates. |

El presente artículo analiza y explica el funcionamiento del sistema de información e inteligencia Plataforma México, desde sus orígenes hasta su consolidación, como una red de vanguardia interconectada entre los tres niveles de gobierno (federal, estatal y municipal) que permitiera hacer más eficiente las labores de investigación de seguridad en México, compartiendo información en tiempo real entre las diferentes corporaciones de seguridad del país por medio de la instalación de una compleja plataforma de telecomunicaciones, integrada por Nodos de Interconexión (NIT’s), en las diferentes entidades federativas así como con las dependencias de procuración de justicia. Para este propósito, Plataforma México se auxilia del Sistema Único de Información Criminal (SUIC), el cual se compone de diferentes aplicativos, tales como: el Informe Policial Homologado, registros biométricos, registros policiales, fichas delictivas, sistemas de información geográfica, registros penitenciarios, registros de armas y municiones, registros vehiculares, balística forense, entre otros. Todo ello, monitoreado a través del Centro de Inteligencia de la Policía Federal (CIPF) como nodo central para la explotación de la información contenida en la Plataforma México. El artículo también aborda la dinámica en cuanto a la seguridad de la información bajo la cual opera dicho sistema.
