Sumario:The article analyzes and explains the functioning of the information and intelligence system Plataform México, from its origins to its consolidation, as a vanguard network interconnected between the three levels of government (federal, state and local) that allowed to make more efficient the research work about security in Mexico by sharing information in real time between the different security corporations of the country by means of the installation of a complex telecommunications platform, integrated by Interconnection Nodes (ITN's) in the different federative entities as well as with the government offices of dispensation of Justice. For this purpose is aided by the Single Criminal Information System (SCIS) which is made up of different applications, such as: the Homologated Police Report, biometric records, police records, criminal records, geographic information systems, prison records, ammunition, vehicle registration, forensic ballistics, among others. All this monitored through the Intelligence Center of the Federal Police (ICFP) as the central node for the exploitation of the information contained in Platform Mexico. The article also addresses the operability regarding the information security under which the system operates.
