| Sumario: | A review is made of the chief Works upon the mammals of the arid zones throughout the World. It is concluded that are few the studies made for the arid neotropical fauna and most of its ecological problems are still to be solved. A description is made of the geographical distribution of each of eremic mammals of Mendoza, emphasizing possible ecological questions that can be found in each of the groups already studied, as it has been made in other countries. Thus a comparison is made between the outstanding character from the bioecological point of view. The summaries of two unpublished works of Dr. Mario Roseman from Chile, upon the ecology of the guanaco (Lama guanicoe guanicoe (Müller) are transcribed.
