Sumario:The subject of research is the re-victimization of minors after a sexual abuse complaint is filed. This new experiencing of abuse can be explained by a lack of childcare services by relevant institutions, lack of coordination, inoperability and, particularly, ignorance around a child’s psyche, that is, when the victim’s subjectivity is not taken into account to guide the pertinent actions and which ends up having very harmful consequences for the child. After analyzing the word re-victimization and its particular meaning in an institutional setting, this phenomenon will be exemplified by walking through the experience of four victims of sexual abuse through the institutional labyrinth. Lastly, we will investigate the effects of deconstruction about a child’s subjectivity and institutional re-victimization, and propose some measures to remediate this urgent problem.
