Este trabalho teve como objetivo compreender as múltiplas leituras acerca da juventude que protagonizou as manifestações conhecidas como Jornadas de Junho, ocorridas em várias cidades brasileiras em 2013, focalizando suas dinâmicas no estado de Alagoas, a partir da análise de material midiático local. Assim, foram selecionadas e analisadas qualitativamente 42 notícias e artigos que noticiaram as manifestações em Alagoas de modo a compreender as concepções de juventude e sua ligação com a política, o entendimento acerca das mobilizações e as estratégias de luta política das manifestações que circularam na mídia objetivando conhecer como esses eventos foram noticiados e suas repercussões. Os resultados permitiram apreender três eixos de análise (Juventude e política, Dinâmica das mobilizações e Reivindicações) que foram importantes para compreendermos que a representação do jovem em sua interface com a política foi insuficientemente discutida e apontamos para a necessidade de nos atentarmos para as novidades políticas trazidas pelas ruas.
