Statistical analysis was used to identify the critical management factors in this group of cooperatives. Once these were obtained those with greater impact on management were analyzed. Study results showed the correlation between the organizational structure, management, planning capability, control and organizational climate. Recommendations for improvement were made based upon the findings of this analysis. |

En el presente artículo de investigación se analiza la gestión administrativa realizada por las cooperativas que conforman la confederación de cooperativas del Caribe colombiano (CONFECOOP CARIBE), las cuales conforman un grupo de entidades de economía solidaria con sede en Cartagena (Bolívar), y que desarrollan sus actividades en diversos sectores económicos. El objetivo del estudio es evaluar la gestión administrativa de las cooperativas que conforman CONFECOOP CARIBE con el fin de proponer alternativas de mejora que garanticen su sostenibilidad y desarrollo. Para el análisis se empleó la técnica estadística de reducción de la dimensión del análisis factorial para identificar los factores críticos de la gestión administrativa, analizando y resaltando aquellos que tienen mayor incidencia en la gestión. Los resultados del estudio mostraron la correlación existente entre estructura organizacional, dirección, planeación, control y clima organizacional.
