Sumario:The concern for the improvement and quality assessment of higher education in Colombia, generated a series of policies and actions that led to the establishment of the system of quality assurance of higher education SACES. One of the regulators in this system, the National Council for Accreditation CNA, which establishes guidelines for the accreditation of programs and institutions. The purpose of this article is to present a critical analysis to the model of quality assessment of higher education as a result of the investigation "Design of an integrated management model for the institutions of higher education based on the guidelines for the purposes autoevaulation Accreditation of the CNA ".
