Sumario:This article analyzes the different international approaches that explain the dynamism and the need to update regulatory structures of security in customs policies, particularly in Mexican customs. The document details the elements of the international legal framework for the control of merchandise to ensure and facilitate trade. It is concluded that Mexico and Latin American countries need to adhere international policies to increase security in international supply chains. In this way, it contributes to the global improvement in international security standards related to the international trade of goods.
