Sumario:This document is the written inform of the investigation whose objective was to check the calculate methodology of water demands, and apply them to have a consistent technical approximately, of the volume of water demanded by the city of Cartagena de Indias in 2009, according to socio-economic structure and the tendencies of the variables involved in that calculate. The result shows that Cartagena requires a total of 164.962.448 cubic meter of water at year 2009, distribute in a 57.9% for families, 22.2% for service sector, follow by farm sector with a 16.6% and the industrial sector with a 2.8%. As it was to expected the livestock and irrigation sectors were the lowest in required water with a 0.3% and 0.1%, respectively.Key Words: Water Demand. Water Resources. Precipitation.
