Sumario:The aim of this article is to analyse age-income and education-income profiles by gender, as well as to determinate the variables that mostly explain incomes fluctuations, and finally, evaluate educational returns by gender in the city of Cartagena during 1999 in reference with other recent results. This will draw the Mincer earnings function after performing the respective treatment to the databases and the gender profiles graphical analysis. One of the most meaningful results is the fact that Micerian function earnings for women has a lesser adjust than men’s. Given the fact that women incomes are lower, her education return rate is also lower than men’s.
