Sumario:The problem of the existence of wage differentials between the population groups of a territory is a latent concern and for which intervention from the government is required in order to improve conditions of equality and equity. This article seeks to generate a reflection where not only gender discrimination represents a challenge for the countries' action policies, but also the fact that this same phenomenon occurs in highly vulnerable populations such as child and youth workers. From the Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition, it is expected to elucidate on the existence (or not) of wage discrimination, taking into account the grouping of boys and girls between 5 to 17 years old, where the payments are lower and the differences in the level of education in Colombia for the period 2012-2016.
