Descripción
Sumario:This document analyzes the opportunities and challenges for sustainable human development on the island of Tierra Bomba. Methodologically, the study was divided into three phases: the first consisted of identifying the livelihoods of the communities studied, their potential, vulnerabilities and capacity for resilience using participatory evaluation tools. Based on the information obtained, in the second phase the asset map was identified and elaborated (DfID, 1990), prioritizing the needs and building solution strategies for each community. In a final phase, the identified potentialities were prioritized, grouping the assets into five dimensions of sustainable development. In general, it can be observed that the community prioritized aspects related to cultural issues, infrastructure, environment and education.
