| Sumario: | This research analyze the main aspects of the international economic integration between China and the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region, with emphasis on potential beneficiaries of main regional projects at the sectoral level. On the other hand, the benefits of this process of economic integration is discussed from a Latin American country perspective. Given the role of China in the global economy, its performance and economic integration became an important aspect of the development of the LAC region. Finally, the main challenges for the LAC region are highlighted in this scenario of increased international economic integration with Asian countries.
