Descripción
Sumario:The purpose of this research is to establish an approximation between the economic development and the components associated with the formation of social capital, applied to the Region of Meta (Colombia) which is located in the Colombian Orinoquia. It is conceived as a complex scenario of territorial structure as a consequence of its population from different regional cultures and the presence of internal conflicts (economic, political and social). In order to analyze the factors associated with the formation of social capital on the economy for the period 2003 to 2015 the statistical methodology of Pearson’s correlation coefficient is applied. Results show strong relationships and impact of social dynamics on economic development. A guide is proposed for the implementation of public policies to strength social capital.
