Sumario:This document analyses, theoretically and empirically, the entrepreneurs profile in Latin America. The analysis is based on models that consider demographic, psychological, and sociological characteristics, including those constraints on businesses’ start. The methodology considers a literature review of relevant empirical studies on entrepreneur’s profile at the global level, and presents a comparative analysis of the Index of Systemic Conditions for Dynamic Entrepreneurship (ISCDE) between LAC countries and the main ranking leaders. The ISCDE has been developed by PRODEM based in Argentina. The main results suggest that latin American entrepreneurs face the lack of human capital and deficiencies in management skills.
