Sumario:The purpose of this article is to investigate the financial viability for producing hydroponic lettuce while using hydroponic systems (greenhouses) in the city of Mandirituba/PR. In order to carry out our analysis, we did some interviews on farms using greenhouses for agricultural production, and then we calculated the NPV, the IRR, the discounted payback and the profitability index of our study. The methodology we used was the multi-factor indexes one so that we could measure the risks associated with the project. The results showed a NPV of R$ 110.120,75 and an Internal Rate of Return of 51%. Risk indicators such as payback/N and GCR were shown as average values while indicators of risk management, business’s risks and MTA/IRR were low/medium. Finally, ROIA indicator was classified as medium, since it adds a 4.23% of richness to the project, and also to the MTA. Given this, we could confirm the financial viability of our study.
