Also, most of them experienced decreases in productivity due to the lack of efficiency Este trabajo analiza el crecimiento de la productividad, el progreso técnico y el cambio en eficiencia de la inversión para la afiliación de personas al Régimen Subsidiado de Salud en los municipios del departamento de Bolívar (Colombia) para el periodo 2010 – 2011. Para ello se aplica el Análisis Envolvente de Datos -DEA- e Índice de Malmquist para medir la eficiencia y la evolución temporal de la productividad, a partir de la información sobre el número de afiliados al régimen subsidiado, total de recursos asignados por el Sistema General de Participaciones y gastos ejecutados en salud por cada municipio. Los resultados muestran que menos del 27% de los municipios bolivarenses se encuentran en la frontera de eficiencia. Asimismo, la mayoría de ellos experimentaron decrecimientos en su productividad, debido a los retrocesos de su eficiencia.
