Sumario:Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most prevalent disorders in childhood, family and social context in which they develop play fundamental roles for their improvement. The present study aims to address, from a qualitative point of view, the ways in which families experience the process of having a member of primary age diagnosed with ADHD, and how it manifests in their dynamics, taking into account the meanings and constructions about mental health. An intentional sample was used, in which 8 families were interviewed, who participated in the collaborative program between school and home for the development of life skills (CLS-FUERTE program); the inclusion criterion was having and / or caring for a child member with a previous diagnosis of ADHD. This study will contribute to understand the affectation of this symptomatology not only to the individual who suffers it, also in their family sphere, providing a description of experiences within families that allow Social Work and Social Sciences, to make epistemic and methodological contributions for the promotion of family and social support for care, detection, promotion of information, as well as interdisciplinary work for the functionality and inclusion of children with ADHD in their daily lives
