Sumario:Since 2008, the Institute for Peace and Development reports Peace in 162 nations through the Global Peace Index, in the same way the Human Development Index is measured by the United Nations Development Program, the objective of the This article is to associate these two indices since their correlation is statistically significant and it was found that the most peaceful countries are the most developed countries, with a lower homicide rate and lower military spending, a higher life expectancy at birth, a higher rate of schooling and better income per capita. Theories of peace and development had had little or no data to be tested, in this study these two new indicators of peace and development are used to measure their correlation and how clear development through peace is.
