Teniendo en cuenta el valor simbólico que tienen las marcas y que el aprendizaje de éstas se da en un entorno social mediado por pares, familia y medios, en el presente documento se abordarán los procesos de socialización del consumidor de niños entre los 7 y 11 años de Bogotá en la categoría de snacks. Los principales resultados que se presentan aquí permiten identificar tres tipologías de consumidor de acuerdo con su socialización: los independientes, los dependientes y las conciliadoras y las diferentes prácticas que realizan los niños y las niñas como resultado de la interlocución entre ellos y ellas como consumidores y los snacks.
