En este artículo, se desarrolló un modelo de indicadores para evaluar la gestión de mantenimiento de las atracciones del Parque del Café, las cuales en su momento no tenían elementos cuantitativos para determinar la efectividad del mantenimiento aplicado. Para ello, se utilizó una metodología que inicia con la identificación de requerimientos y necesidades de los activos que forman parte de las atracciones, luego se le aplicó la metodología RCM (Mantenimiento Centrado en Confiabilidad) para determinar las causas que originan fallas en los activos, el nivel de criticidad y los indicadores que respaldan mantenimientos preventivos, correctivos y predictivos. Posteriormente, se asigna al software de mantenimiento la administración de la gestión de estos activos con sus respectivos indicadores y actividades de mantenimiento. Finalmente se obtiene un plan asociado a indicadores que miden la efectividad del plan de mantenimiento frente a la prolongación del ciclo de vida de los activos y al cumplimiento de las normatividades internacionales que requiere un parque de atracciones.
