En aras de dar máximo aprovechamiento al tratado de libre comercio firmado con los Estados Unidos y con miras a cumplir con los objetivos del mismo, la región busca aportar a los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible en especial, con el segundo objetivo como lograr la seguridad alimentaria y la mejora de la nutrición mediante la agricultura sostenible; acorde con lo anterior en este documento se realizó una propuesta sobre el diseño y desarrollo de un horno deshidratador de cebolla junca para una finca de la zona rural del municipio de Tenerife, Valle del Cauca.
