| description | Through visual language we want to pay tribute to the numerous and diverse women who participated and participate in the fight to defend our source of water and life. The Famatina mountains, with peaks that They reach 6,000 meters high, supplying water to five departments in the province of La Rioja, in the Argentine Republic. These photos are part of a collective record that spans from 2006 (to the present), when we began the fight in opposition to an open-pit mega-mining venture of the Barrick Gold Corporation company. Our towns have managed to expel more than five mining corporations throughout all these years. Today we continue to resist the plunder of the global north, which, excused in what it calls the "energy transition", now comes for the lithium of the high-Andean wetlands. It is difficult to reflect so many years of struggle in a few photographs, because there are numerous shared situations in which women come together to go through the multiple violence that, above all, extractivism imposes on our bodies-territories. This gathering strengthens us and, until now, the greed of extractivism has not been able to penetrate. |

A través del lenguaje visual queremos homenajear a numerosas y diversas mujeres que participaron y participan en la lucha por la defensa de nuestra fuente de agua y de vida. Las sierras del Famatina, con picos que alcanzan 6.000 metros de altura, abastecen de agua a cinco departamentos de la provincia de La Rioja, en la República Argentina. Estas fotos forman parte de un registro colectivo que abarca desde el año 2006 (hasta la actualidad), cuando iniciamos la lucha en oposición a un emprendimiento megaminero a cielo abierto de la empresa Barrick Gold Corporation. Nuestros pueblos han logrado expulsar a más de cinco corporaciones mineras a lo largo de todos estos años. Hoy seguimos resistiendo la rapiña del norte global que excusado en lo que llama la "transición energética”, ahora viene por el litio de los humedales alto-andinos. Es difícil reflejar en pocas fotografías tantos años de lucha, porque son numerosas las situaciones compartidas en donde las mujeres nos acuerpamos para atravesar las múltiples violencias que, sobre todo, impone el extractivismo en nuestros cuerpos-territorios. Este acuerpamiento nos fortalece y, hasta ahora, la avaricia del extractivismo no ha podido penetrar. Através da linguagem visual queremos prestar homenagem às inúmeras e diversas mulheres que participaram e participam na luta pela defesa da nossa fonte de água e de vida. A serra de Famatina, com picos que Atingem 6 mil metros de altura, abastecendo cinco departamentos da província de La Rioja, na República Argentina. Essas fotos fazem parte de um registro coletivo que vai de 2006 (até hoje), quando iniciamos a luta contra um mega empreendimento de mineração a céu aberto da empresa Barrick Gold Corporation. Nossas cidades conseguiram expulsar mais de cinco empresas mineradoras ao longo de todos esses anos. Hoje continuamos a resistir à pilhagem do norte global, que, desculpada no que chama de “transição energética”, agora vem para o lítio das zonas húmidas dos altos Andes. É difícil refletir tantos anos de luta em poucas fotografias, porque são inúmeras as situações compartilhadas em que mulheres se unem para passar pelas múltiplas violências que, sobretudo, o extrativismo impõe aos nossos corpos-territórios.
