Finally, with this material, we comment achievements, lines of reflection in development, as well as gaps and thematic and geographical, suggesting some lines of reflection for the development of the discipline. |

El presente artículo parte del análisis de 850 tesis de antropología y una muestra de la bibliografía de 117 tesis, las cuales fueron realizadas en Ecuador entre 1977 y 2020, lo cual nos permite presentar la evolución de esta disciplina en el país. Primero, se señalan los procesos de construcción institucional, la evolución de las temáticas y de los espacios geográficos trabajados. A continuación, se abordan las influencias intelectuales a través de los materiales bibliográficos citados, influencias geográficas y autores influyentes. Después, se revisan algunas variables de género y descripciones de algunos datos sobre los directores de las tesis. Con este material, y para finalizar, se comentan logros, líneas de reflexión en desarrollo, así como vacíos y los desequilibrios temáticos y geográficos, sugiriendo algunas líneas de reflexión para el desarrollo de la disciplina.
