This article explores the diverse cultural manifestations of menstruation and analyzes its deep implications in women’s lives, from stigmatization to celebration. Through a theoretical frame based on the dialogue of some authors who have researched the topic from biological and cultural views, we analyze how popular beliefs and the influence of diverse social actors, as the impact of social media, haveshaped the evolution of menstruation’s perspectives.
