Sumario:Ancient roads represent a complex and enriching archaeological tool for investigation. It´s malleable characteristic through time always implement new perspectives in torn to this roads, and leaves evidence that anchors the past with the dynamics of our present, superimposed over centuries. Through an ethnographic methodology and the use of traditional an digital documentary sources, this article intends to elucidate the modern uses that are given to the ancient roads of the Sígsig canton-Azuay province, study area whose human activity can be traced back to the pre-ceramic period, this with the objective of evidencing the forms of conservation and maintenance of human mobility practices outside of an implicit intentionality, In addition to generate a multidisciplinary discourse in which the entire community can actively participate in the improvement of economic and cultural work, as well as in the production of new contributions to national archaeology.
