Esta reseña es el resultado de una investigación colectiva realizada en el territorio del cantón Urdaneta en el marco del Programa de Financiamiento para la gestión patrimonial, Fase II, dirigido a los municipios y financiado por el Banco de Desarrollo (BDE), Ministerio de Cultura y Patrimonio e Instituto Nacional del Patrimonio Cultural.El objetivo principal de la contratación efectuada por el Municipio fue realizar una investigación y registro del patrimonio cultural del cantón, para promover el desarrollo local a través de un modelo de gestión sostenible; fortalecer la institucionalidad; y, generar los lineamientos e instrumentos para preservar, mantener y, difundir el patrimonio cultural del cantón.
