Sumario:There are few publications of systematic archaeological investigations in lowlands of MoronaSantiago province, specifically from canton Taisha. Hence the relevance of sharing the information obtained from the project “Archeological Prospecting and Demarcation of Canton Taisha’s Sites, Morona Santiago Province, 2012”. The characterization of ceramic material was done using a multi-variable method that cross-referenced the information about the morphologic, technological, and decorative attributes, taking as a base Unit 2 of the Panki 1 site to establish patterns that identify each occupation. The decorative analysis showed the best results. This work is a first attempt to obtain a chronology of ceramics of the area relative to the stratigraphic data and absolute chronology obtained by Constantine.
