The interest in the masculinity issues and racism becomes more important if we look at the crises in our societies that emerge from social problems such as exclusion, inequality, sexism and segregation. Thinking about the role of man in society as well as the impact of the configuration of masculinity on bodies, is now a necessity that arises to face the multiple violence that affects our world. In this sense, Humanities are called to build social imaginaries and critical action spaces committed to humanity and life. |

El presente artículo propicia la reflexión a partir de la socialización de la propuesta metodológica y los resultados que dejó la investigación/creación titulada: “En las fronteras de la masculinidad. Relato de un cuerpo tiznado”. Esta es un aporte a los estudios de género en su forma de valorar el cuerpo, a la vez que propone un lenguaje narrativo que nutre la construcción de conocimiento sin apartarse de la reflexión académica. El interés por las cuestiones de la masculinidad y el racismo toma mayor importancia si observamos las crisis de nuestras sociedades que se desprenden de problemas sociales como la exclusión, la desigualdad, el sexismo y la segregación. Pensar en el papel del hombre en la sociedad así como el impacto de la configuración de la masculinidad en los cuerpos, es hoy una necesidad que surge para hacer frente a las múltiples violencias que afectan nuestro mundo día a día. En este sentido, las humanidades están llamadas a construir imaginarios sociales y espacios de acción crítica comprometidos con la humanidad y la vida.
