En este artículo se analizan los significados y experiencias de la paternidad de los varones de tres municipios del estado de Morelos, a partir de las rupturas y permanencias de la paternidad aprendida de sus progenitores, de las transiciones cuando son padres, los acuerdos y desacuerdos con sus parejas y la búsqueda por lograr una paternidad participativa, activa, colaborativa y equitativa, que surgen de las reflexiones sobre las dificultades, obstáculos y críticas del contexto social en el que habitan.
