Sumario:A hundred year panorama is presented of oil activities in Colombia and their consequences on the indigenous territories, as well as the risks about the environment and health, standing out on the other hand the half-filled one that some oil companies have taken to control these risks. The direct and indirect environmental and social implications of the diverse phases of the oil activity are discussed in continental areas and their historical relationships with the processes of violence that one lives there where they have had oil exploitations during the XX century. Finally a discussion is presented on the new oil policy of the Colombian state in connection with the off-shore exploration and the absence of environmental controls to protect the marine ecosystems that underlie to the delivered areas for exploration during next years, ignoring the international legislation on the protection of the sea.
