Sumario:In this article, the author describes relations proposed between the regulation of material and intellectual goods and the social technologies. To that end, theoretical-methodological tools from social-technical analysis are used, and conceptual developments related to the characterization of “common goods” are applied. For that purpose, the legal-political character that some social technologies may acquire is problematized, and, at the same time possible forms of privatization and appropriation that these might undergo by private business or the state are analyzed.
