In the testimonies of these women two different geographies of cocaine emerged: one that criminalizes the movement of "suspicious" bodies and rearticulates international borders within the walls of the prison. In contrast, there is another geography that is constituted through the clandestine journeys these women take and in confronting the barriers that this first geography of illegality imposes. |

Mediante los testimonios de cuatro mujeres colombianas que estuvieron tras las rejas en la cárcel de Latacunga, en Ecuador, este artículo indaga las geografías de la cocaína. Las conversaciones con ellas y la etnografía de la visita a prisión fueron las vías para observar cómo procesos globales, en este caso la economía de la coca y la lucha por su control, toman cuerpo en vidas concretas. En sus relatos es posible observar dos geografías de la cocaína diferentes: una que criminaliza los movimientos de los cuerpos “sospechosos” en ella, la frontera nacional se rearticula en los muros de la prisión. La segunda geografía, en cambio, se constituye a partir de los trayectos clandestinos que estas mujeres realizan y que confrontan las barreras que la primera de estas geografías impone. Através dos testemunhos de quatro mulheres colombianas que estiveram atrás das grades na prisão de Latacunga no Equador, este artigo explora as geografias da cocaína. As conversas com elas e a etnografia da visita à prisão foram as formas para observar como processos globais, neste caso, a economia da coca e a luta pelo seu controle, tomam corpo em vidas concretas. Nos seus relatos é possível observar duas geografias da cocaína diferentes: uma que criminaliza os movimentos dos corpos "suspeitos" nela, a fronteira nacional é rearticulada nos muros da prisão. A segunda geografia, por outro lado, é constituída pelos trajetos clandestinos que essas mulheres fazem e que enfrentam as barreiras que a primeira dessas geografias impõe.
