Documentamos en este artículo la complejidad de la experiencia de clase de poblaciones rurales excedentes que oscilan entre períodos de movilidad restringida por relaciones de dependencia y momentos de libre circulación en el proceso de ser absorbidos por el capital. El trasfondo del análisis es una etnografía clásica de un pueblo de habla nahua de la Sierra Norte de Puebla, en el centro de México, realizada durante la década de 1960. Focalizamos variados sitios etnográficos donde se desencadenan flujos de valor lejos de los productores, con el fin de hacer visibles a mujeres y jóvenes como sujetos económicos, cuyo trabajo suele ser opacado bajo las categorías censales de “amas de casa” y “estudiantes”. Documentamos neste artigo a complexidade da experiência de classe de populações rurais excedentes que oscilam entre períodos de mobilidade restrita por relações de dependência e momentos de livre circulação no processo de ser absorvidos pelo capital. O pano de fundo da análise é uma etnografia clássica de um povo de língua nahua da Sierra Norte de Puebla, na região central do México, realizada durante a década de 1960. Temos como foco diversos locais etnográficos onde são acionados fluxos de valor longe dos produtores, com a finalidade de tornar visíveis mulheres e jovens como sujeitos econômicos, cujo trabalho é geralmente ofuscado pelas categorias censitárias de "donas de casa" e "estudantes".
