Sumario: | This text describes the articulation that took place between socio-productive popular organisations, and the construction and adaptation of knowledge and technology. It draws upon the learning experience of the National Programme of Technology Incubators of Popular Cooperatives (ITCP) of the National Secretariat of Solidary Economy of the Ministry of Labour and Employment in Brazil (SENAES-MTE). The article defends this social technology as an educational project that operates at the subjective level. It defends its role as a knowledge enhancing technological innovation in processes and products, and, at the organizational level, as an effective producer of goods and services. At the political level, the article suggests that the project provides access to rights and a space to experiment different institutional forms. For these reasons, the ITPCs serve as modes of knowledge production, fabrication, transmission and application of processes, products and tools, that are critical of those produced by the capitalist system.
