| description | This article aims to understand how the Operation Car Wash was portrayed in the editorials of Folha de S. Paulo, one of the most influent Brazilian newspapers. Due to the importance of the operation in the current political scenario, we examine the newspaper’s stance in relation to the operation and the actors involved in it. We analyzed the thematic agenda, the actors involved, and the main framings employed in the editorials published in 2014 and 2015. Regarding politicians, we noted that the newspaper focused on individuals associated with the Brazilian Workers’ Party. In terms of framings, the main ideas conveyed were that 1) the operation signaled a greater maturity than the institutions in control; and 2) politicians exploited the State to their own (and their parties’) benefit. |

El objetivo de este artículo es comprender cómo la Operación Autolavado fue retratada por los editoriales del diario Folha de S.Paulo, uno de los principales y más influyentes medios en Brasil. En función del protagonismo de esta operación en el actual escenario político, se cuestiona cuál es el posicionamiento del periódico en relación con ésta y con los actores involucrados. Se analiza la agenda temática, los actores y los principales encuadramientos en los editoriales publicados durante los dos primeros años de la operación (2014 y 2015). Entre los resultados encontrados, se consideraron principalmente las ideas de que la Operación Autolavado revelaba mayor madurez que las instituciones de control; y que el caso investigado sugería que los políticos actúan de forma que utilizan el Estado en beneficio propio. Este artigo tem por objetivo compreender como a Operação Lava-Jato foi retratada pelos editoriais do jornal Folha de São Paulo, um dos principais e mais influentes meios impressos no Brasil. Em função do protagonismo dessa operação no atual cenário político, questiona-se qual o posicionamento do jornal em relação a ela e aos atores nela envolvidos. É analisada a agenda temática, os atores e os principais enquadramentos dos editorias publicados nos dois primeiros anos de operação (2014 e 2015). Entre os resultados encontrados, foram consideradas principalmente as ideias segundo as quais a operação Lava Jato revelava maior maturidade das instituições de controle; e que o caso investigado sugeria que os políticos atuam de forma a utilizar o Estado em benefício próprio.
