El sistema de aplicación del derecho entre los rom se denomina Kriss, expresión que designa tanto el derecho en general como la asamblea o consejo de ancianos encargados de aplicarlo. Este artículo analiza y describe el proceso de organización del pueblo rom en torno al ejercicio del derecho de administrar justicia bajo sus propios patrones culturales. Se pasa revista a las dinámicas desarrolladas en América Latina, en especial a los casos del pueblo rom en Colombia y Chile.
