The principal elements analysed include the role of sexuality in the establishment of migratory networks, modifications of the body and the insertion into the labour market for sex work. These elements inter-relate in the migratory experiences of the female transsexual population in Quito.

La sexualidad, al ser una estructura histórica y política que permite la configuración de normas y leyes sociales así como la conformación de subjetividades individuales, es un elemento fundamental en el análisis de los estudios migratorios. Este artículo examina, de forma cualitativa, el transitar trans femenino ecuatoriano a nivel local y regional. El papel de la sexualidad en el establecimiento de redes migratorias, los cambios corporales y su inserción en el trabajo sexual son los principales elementos que aborda este estudio, los cuales se entrecruzan a lo largo del viaje migratorio de la población trans femenina que reside en Quito. A sexualidade, ao ser uma estrutura histórica e política que permite a configuração de normas sociais e leis sociais, bem como a formação de subjetividades individuais, é um elemento fundamental na análise dos estudos migratórios. Este artigo analisa qualitativamente, o trânsito trans feminino equatoriano a nível local e regional. O papel da sexualidade no estabelecimento de redes migratórias, as mudanças no corpo e sua inserção no trabalho sexual são os principais elementos abordados por este estudo, os quais se cruzam ao longo da jornada migratória da população trans feminina residente em Quito.
