Descripción
Sumario:The urban regeneration has radically transformed the city of Guayaquil: the development of mega public projects, the improvement of services and the massive construction of different infrastructure have come together with normative and concomitant regulations that have modulated social, economic and cultural aspects. The undeniable positive impact of this phenomenon in the city is not excuse of some problematic aspects that bear these processes and the dynamics that derive from them. During several years, in the public artistic circuits have appeared works that establish dialogues and questions around these topics. This text was designed for a visual conference presented in one of the theoretical points that gathered the most recent Biennial of Havana (New Signs of Urban View and the Art), so here are exposed and contextualized a selection of this type of works.
