| description | The critiques to the notion of corporate social responsibility establish that it is an ideological movement used to legitimize the power of large corporations. This research analyses social responsibility discourses of a corporation that has been the protagonist of an environmental crime, aiming to identify the relationship between what is declared or preached and what is practiced. Because it is a documentary investigation, methodologically, files of the company and the Mayor's Office of the municipality where the crime occurred were studied. It was found that the company uses the discourse of socio-environmental responsibility to hide undue practices that harm the environment and the community; meaning that, in order not to be considered a bad or ugly corporation, it perfumes its practices with natural environment protection discourses. |

Las críticas a la noción de responsabilidad social corporativa establecen que se trata de un movimiento ideológico usado para legitimar el poder de las grandes corporaciones. En esta investigación, se analizan los discursos de responsabilidad social de una corporación que ha sido protagonista de un crimen ambiental, con el objetivo de identificar la relación entre lo que se declara o pregona y lo que se practica. Al ser una investigación documental, metodológicamente se estudian archivos de la compañía y de la Alcaldía del municipio donde ocurrió el crimen. Se encontró como resultado que la mencionada empresa utiliza el discurso de la responsabilidad socioambiental para ocultar prácticas indebidas que perjudican al medio ambiente y la comunidad; es decir que para no ser considerada una corporación mala o fea, perfuma sus prácticas con discursos de protección al entorno natural. As críticas à noção de responsabilidade social corporativa apontam que se trata de um movimento ideológico utilizado para legitimar o poder das grandes corporações. Nesta pesquisa, são analisados os discursos de responsabilidade social de uma corporação que tem sido protagonista de um crime ambiental, com o objetivo de identificar a relação entre o que é declarado e o que é praticado. Sendo uma pesquisa documental, metodologicamente se estudam arquivos da empresa e do município onde ocorreu o crime. Encontrou-se como resultado que a referida empresa usa o discurso da responsabilidade social e ambiental para ocultar práticas indevidas que prejudicam o meio ambiente e a comunidade; ou seja, que para não ser considerada uma empresa má ou feia, perfuma suas práticas com discursos de proteção ao meio ambiente.
