La violencia de género ha sido construida como un problema social en diversas matrices semiótico-materiales. En este artículo se describe estas matrices y se analiza sus efectos en las leyes y servicios municipales de Quito. Se evidencia cinco matrices: sexualidad; salud; derechos humanos; seguridad, y prácticas disciplinares. Se muestra cómo las voces que pretendieron generar rupturas en el statu quo fueron soterradas, mientras se convirtieron en hegemónicas aquellas que han perpetuado el orden patriarcal. A violência de gênero tem sido construída como um problema social em diversas matrizes semiótico-materiais. Neste artigo, descrevem-se estas matrizes e analisam-se seus efeitos nas leis e serviços municipais de Quito. Evidenciam-se cinco matrizes: sexualidade; saúde; direitos humanos; segurança e práticas disciplinares. Mostra-se como as vozes que pretenderam gerar rupturas no status quo foram soterradas, enquanto converteram-se em hegemónicas aquelas que têm perpetuado a ordem patriarcal.
