Sumario:In Ecuador, dictatorships of 60s and 70s tied the military to the social and economic development. Although in the 80s they returned to the quarters, during the 25 years of formal democracy they remained that idyllic vision of power based on force, and the replacement of politics by technocracy. They continued caressing its planning vocation on the social and the politicial, so far to, already in XXI century, they did not doubt in doing theirs the Gutierrez adventure, supporting one more of the Ecuadorian populisms. Criticizing the political class, el gutierrismo jumped to politics through the electoral route. It wanted to retake the military project. But now -like then- this adventure was not more than an ideological version of the society built into the quarters.
