In this regard, the news, editorials and opinion articles in the nationwide circulation newspapers El Comercio and El Telégrafo, published during the referendum and the popular consultation of 2018 electoral campaigns, were taken into consideration. In terms of theoretical and methodological approach, this study proposes a critical analysis of discourse in order to problematize the different discursive strategies by which the written press legitimized or delegitimize the repertories of political actors. Finally, this article presents how both newspapers supported the reach and advantages of the proposed questions by the Executive. |

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar los factores que posibilitaron el consenso discursivo entre la prensa ecuatoriana y el Gobierno de Lenín Moreno. Se toma como referencia las noticias, editoriales y artículos de opinión que los diarios de circulación nacional El Comercio y El Telégrafo publicaron durante la campaña electoral en torno al referéndum y la consulta popular de 2018. Se propone por herramienta teórica y metodológica el análisis crítico del discurso, con el fin de problematizar las diferentes estrategias discursivas que la prensa utilizó para legitimar o deslegitimar el campo de acción de los actores políticos. Por último, se indica cómo los dos diarios apoyan el sentido y las ventajas de las preguntas propuestas por el Ejecutivo.
