Sumario:In recent decades, Colombia has gone through a long and complex process with a view to the demobilization of armed groups; perhaps the most important goal being that demobili­zed persons achieve full reincorporation into civilian life in all its spheres, and thus reach the desired reconciliation with themselves, with the community and with the State. In line with the above, the objective of this article is to make a documentary review of the different con­cepts and understandings associated with reconciliation and how it constitutes a key input that contributes to the construction of peace, but not before clarifying some theoretical ele­ments in the framework of Disarmament, Demobilization, Reintegration (DDR), expanding the point of reference.
